WINTER SONNET

     Far into dim oblivion

Have the rainbow shades of yester years faded.

That final short conversation,

In reality a confession

 hauntingly remains

as lingering reminiscence.

Eyes now are wary for want of a glimpse,

Palate bland of taste.

The mind is a vagabond of thoughts

And the heart questions,

‘Will there ever be  summer ?’
