FUTILITY!

Insatiable dreams
 are  but steps,
in  life’s journey,
triumph and   fall,
  is a changing face,
the  cause of heart ache.

Yet we swell,
continue to dwell ,
though, knowing too well,
that our footprints are -
but in  loose grains of SAND .

This I believe...

This I believe that I’m an epitome of change. I wasn’t born to be defeated but vice versa.  I’m blest with opportunities after opportunities because I’m the chosen one to break age-old beliefs and norms.
This I believe that I’m born to make a difference in my own subtle way.  My voice shall be heard because there’s governance of divinity. Truth, dedication and devotion are my governing philosophy. I strive and so I’ll thrive!
This I believe that challenges are but to make life exciting. They bring about exuberance, forward thinking and self-discovery. This I believe that every experience is knowledge and knowledge that benefits.

This I believe that my Creator  is with me, holding my hand and leading me on.

SINGING FOR A CAUSE!

Dubai Volunteers, a group set up by a team of Dubai residents in the year 2009, with the goal of providing a better world for children across the globe is here to make a difference! In collaboration with Bravo Productions it brings to the community  of Dubai a gala afternoon of musical concert on Saturday the 27th of February 2010 at the Godolphin Ballroom of Jumeirah Towers.

The main aim of the event is to aid the organization, Children of Watamu and Red Crescent, Dubai towards the fulfillment of their project, ‘Happy House’.
Initiated by Sue Hayward, the winner of Lancashire Woman of the year award 2009 ,the project aims to provide a ‘happy’ home for the many homeless children in Watamu, Kenya. It strives to be a reason of hope, happiness and success for those desperate and bleak.

Construction of the project started on the 28th of July 2008 and will officially open on the 17th of March 2010. The 4 acre land on which the vision is being realized was donated by one Mr. Ya or grandpa Ya as he’s lovingly addressed, a 90 plus gentleman whose generosity knows no bounds.

'Happy House' will be a home for more than 100 children providing them with basic amenities like living space, dining hall, recreation centers, food and clothes. It aims to save children from poverty and despair and to do so; the project needs support and sponsorship from humanity at large.   AED 1400 is needed a year to help provide decent living condition to each child, therefore there’s a dire need for support.

The upcoming gala afternoon of classical music for the children of Watamu organized by Dubai Volunteers is one small step to aid the project. Tickets are priced and AED 100 and AED 150. Box office email  is:
